Cochrane is a community of people’s movement who play their part in improving health and healthcare globally. Cochrane’s community consists of 13,000 members and over 50,000 supporters come from more than 130 countries, worldwide. These community people are researchers, health professionals, patients, carers, and people passionate about improving health outcomes for everyone, everywhere.
Cochrane produces systematic reviews of primary research in human health care and policy. We search for and collate all the existing primary research on a topic that meets certain criteria; then we assess it using stringent guidelines, to establish whether or not there is conclusive evidence about a specific treatment. Cochrane Reviews are internationally recognized as the highest standard in evidence-based health care with regular update and publish them online in the Cochrane Library.
Melaka Manipal Medical College is a part of Malaysia Cochrane Network who continue to contribute welfare of the people of Malaysia by supporting and guiding health decision making through writing systematic review, delivering podocast, writing blog and translating plain language summary to Malaye language.

Melaka Manipal Medical College, Melaka Malaysia would like to invite you to participate in workshop in systematic review. This workshop includes interactive lectures, group discussions, practical exercises and provides an introductory overview of all aspects of systematic reviewing in health.
Objective: The purpose of this workshop is to familiarize clinical experts with various parts of a systematic review and its application in clinical decision-making. It covers:
Introduction to different aspects of a systematic review
Constructing a systematic review question
Structure of the protocol
Literature searching
Inclusion/exclusion screening
Potential biases in a systematic review
Data extraction & Critical appraisal
Fundamentals of meta-analysis and interpreting results
Data Synthesis using Revman
Heterogeneity
Assessing the certainty of evidence
Target audience:
Health professionals, academics and policy makers with an understanding of health and related research
