Cochrane Malaysia All-Time Achievement Awards for volunteer translators

Each year, we recognize our top volunteer translators with Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards, celebrating their exceptional work in promoting health knowledge. This year, we introduced the All-Time Achievement Award, a special honor for individuals and institutions with a consistent and extraordinary contribution to the Cochrane Bahasa Malaysia translation initiative.

Catherine Spencer, CEO of Cochrane, and A/Prof Teguh Haryo Sasongko from IMU University, presented the awards during the 10th Anniversary Celebration on 26th September 2024.

The first recipient of the All-Time Achievement Award is Prof Dr Noorliza Mastura Ismail from the Faculty of Dentistry at MUCM. Since 2016, Prof Noorliza has completed an astounding 1,274 translations. The second recipient is A/Prof Dr Shazlin Shaharudin from the School of Health Sciences, USM, who has contributed 760 translations since 2019. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Cochrane Malaysia All-Time Achievement Award for Institutions was awarded to the School of Medical Sciences, USM, for their remarkable contribution of 3,177 translations over the past nine years. A/Prof Datin Dr Norhayati Mohd Noor accepted the award on behalf of the school.
