Cochrane Malaysia invites our volunteer translators and editors — as well as those interested in becoming involved in the Cochrane Bahasa Malaysia Translation Initiative — to join our annual Volunteer Translators & Editors Meetup.

The meetup is an opportunity for our translation community to reconnect, exchange experiences and help shape the next phase of the Bahasa Malaysia Translation Initiative.

This year, we will look beyond producing translations to an equally important question: how can we help translated Cochrane evidence reach and be used by more people? The session will include an update on the dissemination of Bahasa Malaysia Cochrane Plain Language Summaries, insights from our work exploring how audiences engage with Cochrane content, and a discussion of new ideas for extending the reach and impact of our translations.

There will also be an open discussion for translators and editors to share their experiences, challenges, suggestions and feedback on the translation and editing process.

Whether you are a long-standing volunteer, have recently joined the initiative, or are interested in contributing in the future, we would be delighted to welcome you.

Travel support: A limited number of travel stipends will be available to eligible participants travelling from outside the Klang Valley.
