In conjunction with the 2nd RUMC International Medical Research Conference 2025, Cochrane Malaysia conducted the Intervarsity Competition & Workshop: "Communicating Evidence to Empower Informed Decision-making 2.0" at RCSI & UCD Malaysia Campus (RUMC), Penang on 28 November 2025. It was held as a pre-conference event for undergraduate students. 

A total of 5 teams from 4 universities participated in the competition and workshop. The students produced creative videos that demonstrated how healthcare professionals can use a Cochrane Plain Language Summary in a clinical setting to help patients make evidence based informed decisions about their healthcare plans, and answered a quiz during the workshop.
